My Thoughts

The yearlong terror that plagued the IPPVs this year aside, ROH was one of the best wrestling promotions of the year.  Steen made for a much better champion than most expected and put a lot of the weight on his shoulders to make the company interesting again.  Michael Elgin had the best year of his career from an in-ring standpoint and has proven to be a hell of a main event player whenever he has been called upon.  Always reliable mainstays like Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, El Generico and Roddy Strong anchored most of the PPVs, while Mike Bennett has continued to be ROH's primary "heat magnet", parading his uber-hot playboy playmate valet in everyone's faces and whether or not most would admit it, he was an irreplaceable cog in the ROH machine this past year.  Overall, the company gave us some of the year's finest matches and even though they did not always deliver strong PPV feeds, you always got your money's worth when they did.

Overall Grade: C+
