My Thoughts

The WWE threw everything the could at us this year and they were met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the fans.  Sure, a few of the storylines were borderline terrible, but there was no shortage of amazing matches and the PPV lineup was one of the most impressive in the history of pro wrestling.  The Rock and John Cena's year-long feud and Brock Lesnar's return kicked things off in high gear, generating a new level of interest from the mainstream media and Raw 1000 was one of the best episodes of television in any genre of entertainment.  2012 was also the year that the WWE finally began to focus on their next generation of stars.  Whether or not it was purely out of necessity doesn't really matter when you've got amazing talent like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Ryback, AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, Big E Langston, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow all playing a major role in most of the WWE's storylines.  These are all things that have piqued my interest and made me even more excited heading into 2013.  And when I look back years from now I will remember 2012 as a year that was a hell of a lot of fun to be a WWE fan.
